Valerie is the Founder and Managing Partner of Talent Advisers, a boutique HR Consulting firm. She brings over twenty-five years of Human Capital Management experience, including C-Suite and Director levels roles with top retail brands, such as Boot Barn, ASICS, St. John Knits, Kenneth Cole, and J. Crew. Valerie’s expertise began with “boots on the ground” Human Resources and staff management at retail locations for multinational corporations at the District and Regional level. Over the last seven years in her consulting practice, she has provided HR expertise to companies across a large breath of industries on daily and strategic HR, leading HR in interim roles, project-based engagements, acquisition and integration stages, and assisting in litigation. She will align HR initiatives with the direction of the organization to ensure maximum efficiencies and the strategic plans and objectives are attained. She has partnered with leadership and led aspects of the planning, implementation and change processes. She has regularly performed analysis of workforce and ensured talent is aligned with the evolving organizational structure. Valerie has led People Strategies to ensure outcomes incorporate the organizational culture, mission, and goals, are legally complaint with limited liability risk, along with providing fair and equitable solutions to employees. She has conducted assessments, analyzed, diagnosed, prioritized, and developed strategies to overcome problems, challenges, or future needs within the organization regarding employees. She has served on the Board of the National Human Resources Association (NHRA) of Orange County for 10 years, including as President for 3 years. She also served on the National NHRA Board for 2 years.
